 about

Hi there! My name is Mark Walton and I'm a landscape artist -- aholic. I've been painting for about 5 years and I'm constantly trying to improve and expand my repertoire, one painting at a time. I'm self taught with the help of a fuzzy-haired guy from PBS that we all know and love, Mr. Bob Ross. Although Bob has shuffled off of this mortal coil, his infectious love of all things artistic and his never ending enthusiasm of "putting some of nature's masterpieces on canvas" lives on. I, like ol' Bob, was born in the deep South, and also like ol' Bob, I too lived in Alaska for nearly a dozen years. This exposure to such varying landscapes gave me an appreciation for the dense greenery of the hot and humid southern part of our great nation as well as a deep and everlasting love of the mighty mountains and pristine vistas that Alaska has to offer. I hope I do them justice in my art!

So kick back and have a look around at my various tributes to Mother Nature and her infinite beauty! Thank you -

             M. C. Walton
